Description
The purpose of the ASHG Diversity Luncheon is to mentor trainees and early career researchers from underrepresented minority (URM) groups and to share information on training and career opportunities in genetics and genomics.
Speakers will share their lived experience as leaders in their profession with trainees and early career investigators in their pursuit of equity while also addressing the barriers in place. Most importantly, this diverse panel will speak to how they are using their voices to advocate for their own communities while simultaneously supporting their scientific work and the work of others as a tool to eradicate health disparities.
Recorded session from the 2021 virtual meeting.
