Housing priority week is a week in which ASHG current members can book their hotel accommodations for the upcoming annual meeting ahead of everyone else.

What Are the Benefits?

ASHG’s annual meeting housing blocks fill up quickly, so by joining or renewing your membership by April 9 you will have a full week to book your preferred accommodations before everyone else.

If that’s not convincing enough, by re-activating your membership, you’re also able to enjoy ASHG’s valuable year-round benefit including monthly webinars, career development opportunities through our Career Center, discounts on Annual Meeting registration costs, and access to ASHG journals, AJHG and HGG Advances.

When Can I Redeem This Perk?

The ASHG 2023 housing website will open on April 10. Current ASHG members can expect to receive an email with more details. Please note you will need your ASHG login credentials to access the booking page. If you forgot your login details or need to reset your password you may contact membership@ashg.org.

Be Aware of Scams for Housing and Attendee Lists

Be alert! ASHG members and meeting attendees are being approached by companies or visiting websites that falsely claim to be official ASHG hotel partners or offer “the best rates.” Many of these are scams. We strongly suggest you book using the hotel links provided on ASHG’s website or another reputable and known travel website. Members and exhibitors have reported lost reservations and unrecoverable expenses from such scams and fake sites. Please pay careful attention when booking, and we look forward to welcoming you to Washington D.C.

Another common scam is an offer of the official attendee email list for ASHG 2023. ASHG does not sell, rent, or share contact/lead lists of members or meeting attendees. None of these companies are legitimate. Please reach out to exhibits@ashg.org for advertising and sponsorship options to reach ASHG meeting attendees and to report suspicious contacts.
